Majolica to reopen

Michael Klein, blogger for Philly.com, initially reported that Majolica was closing its doors a couple of weeks ago, is back today with a post indicating they will be reopening on March 18th.

From the post:
---
They're changing the menu to, as Johnson calls it, "more French bistro-y." Prices are falling by 40 percent or so. It's sporting a new logo. A new sign went up on Bridge Street. The place has been painted and mildly redecorated.

Reopening is scheduled for March 18.

“The changes we are rolling out are a direct response to these economic times,” said Deery, the chef, in a statement, “but we’re excited about making the Majolica experience available for anyone.” Johnson wants the restaurant to be a frequent visit, not devoted to the special-occasion crowd.

Stay tuned for a full press release on this site tomorrow morning.

Okay all you folks who never got around to trying Majolica; it's time to step up! And check out the website. Besides their great menu you can have Chef Deery cater your next party, teach you to cook like a professional or even have him come to your house and cook dinner for you and your friends.

And keep patronizing our other great restaurants and shops. We can make Phoenixville a destination town. We've got lots of wonderful venues: food, shops, theater, and music. Get the word out by telling friends and inviting them to come with the next time you're heading out for a meal or movie or shopping trip.

It's up to us to promote our town and our business owners. And if you have a bad experience, speak to the business where it happened and get it sorted out. Don't jump online and start complaining.

Hey, smartblondemom, I agree with you and we're on the same boat. I absolutely love this town and only WE can make it better. That's what I don't get about some of these people that seem to want Pville to do poorly, what's up with that? If downtown Pville does poorly then so do we. It will effect our quality of living, our daily activity, and our housing values.

We were formed in early 2018 by Dina Rowan and I came on board last June. We have roughly 15 volunteers so far and would like to expand that to expand our reach. We take donated items directly to the people. We provide them with a hot meal and new or lightly used clothing and self-care products. We have long term goals of a mobile shower center, vocational training and assisting with housing in any way possible. What kind of items do you need?
