Kiwanis Club's Annual Holiday Parade Being Held This Friday

K-Kids from Barkley Elementary School assemble to march in the 2011 parade The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will be holding its annual Holiday Parade in Phoenixville on “First Friday”, December 7, 2012 beginning at 7:00 PM. The parade route has been changed from prior years. This year’s parade will begin at the Justice Building on Bridge Street and continue on Bridge Street ending at Starr Street. Santa Claus will arrive with the help of the Phoenixville Area High School Marching Band. The parade line-up also includes a Mummers string band, several floats from area civic and service groups. Area fire companies participate with decorated fire engines as they compete for the “Best Decorated Fire Engine” award. Approximately 25 children’s characters will also be in the parade. The annual Phoenixville Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will take place at approximately 8:30 at the corner of Bridge and Main Streets. Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction to be held February 4th

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold a spaghetti dinner and silent auction on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Kimberton Fire Company . The event is being held by the Kiwanis Club in partnership with the Firebird Children’s Theater which provides theater opportunities to children of the area. A spaghetti dinner, provided by Franco’s Italian Restorante , will be served from 5:30 to 7 PM with the auction beginning at 7 PM. Hundreds of items will be up for bid in the silent auction with several special items offered in a live auction. Over the years, the Kiwanis Club has partnered with various community groups to support their programs. This year’s dinner/auction will aid the Firebird Children’s Theater in extending the theater experience to more children in our community and will also support Kiwanis Club projects to benefit children. Kiwanis Annual ‘Cereal with Santa’ This Saturday

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will holds its annual “Cereal with Santa” this Saturday morning (December 3rd) at the Phoenix Hook & Ladder No. 1 Firehouse on Church Street in Phoenixville. From 8am to noon, children and their parents can join Santa Claus for a breakfast featuring a variety of cereals and toppings. In addition to Santa Claus, several other “special guests” will be there. Face-painting and other children’s activities will also be part of the morning. Admission is $5 payable at the door.

Kiwanis Club Halloween Party To Be Held October 29th

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold their annual Halloween Party at the Colonial Theater on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1 PM. The free event is for the children of Phoenixville. Children are asked to come dressing in their Halloween costumes. The event will feature a Halloween Parade of costumes across the stage, special guests, and a showing of the children’s film “Fraggle Rock.” Children attending will receive a bag of Halloween Treats at the end of the party. The event will run from 1 to 3 PM. Children must be accompanied by a parent or other adult.

Annual Kiwanis Community Day Tomorrow

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold their annual Community Day this Saturday, October 1st from 8 AM to 3 PM in Reeves Park. The event will include a Flea Market with more than 80 groups WHO will have items on sale or will have information about their organizations and programs. Along with the flea market, entertainment will be provided in the bandshell beginning at 11 AM with a gymnastics demonstration by members of the “Aerials” a local gymnastics club. Musical entertainment will be provided later in the day. This year’s theme of Community Day is “Advancing Academics & Music Education” as the Kiwanis have partnered with the PAHS Band and the ‘Destinations with Directions’ student organization. All profits from Community Day will benefit these organizations and Kiwanis community programs. Kiwanis Community Day To Be Held October 1

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold its annual Community Day in Reeves Park on Saturday, October 1st from 8 AM to 3 PM. The day will feature of a large flea market made of many groups and organizations in the Phoenixville community offering information about their activities and sales of food, collectibles and household items. The Kiwanis Club will again offer a Chicken BBQ Dinner for $10. Tickets are being sold in advance by members of the club as well as this year’s Kiwanis Partners. The theme for this year’s Community Day is “Advancing Academics & Music Education for PAHS Students”. The Kiwanis Club is partnering with the PAHS Band and with the Destinations with directions Student Organization. All profits from Community Day will benefit these school organizations as well as the many community programs provided by the Kiwanis Club in the Phoenixville Community. Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville 2011 Children's Plaza Programs Begins Saturday

The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will launch the first of its series of children’s programs at the Children’s Plaza on Bridge Street this Saturday morning at 10:30 AM. This is the third summer for this free program for the children of the Phoenixville area. Every Saturday morning through September 10th , the Kiwanis will be providing a variety of entertainers and programs. There will be musical programs, puppets, clowns and on July 23rd a special program from the Philadelphia Zoo that will include live animals. For this summer, arrangements have been made to hold weekly entertainment for children Rain or Shine. In the event of rain, the performances will take place at the Phoenix Art Center (207 Bridge Street).

Kiwanis Hosting Cereal With Santa On Saturday

This Saturday, December 18th, join the Phoenixville Kiwanis for Cereal with Santa. Children and Parents join Santa Clause for cereal and fun and games. Pictures with Santa. Letter writing to Santa. Letters to Soldiers. Face Painting and Coloring Sheets. Special "Friends" of Santa as guests. 4th Annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade to be held Friday, December 3rd

The Phoenixville Kiwanis Club is proud to announce their 4th annual Christmas Parade is set for First Friday, December 3, 2010 at 7pm. The parade will line up on the 100 block of Church Street and traverse the 100, 200 300 block of Bridge St. ending at the Dollar Store. The parade, heralding the arrival of Santa and the holiday season, will feature the Phoenixville Phantom Marching Band and area fire companies competing in a competition of their vehicles decorated for the season. Santa is bringing some of his most favorite friends. Santa’s guests include the Mouses (Mick & Minnie) and of course Donald Duck and Goofy. Also making their way down the parade route will be Elmo, Barney, The Cat in the Hat, Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella, Snow White and other favorites. Joining them will be a cast of holiday favorites including Frosty the Snowman, Gingerbread Man, Several of Santa’s elves and even the dastardly Grinch.
