Camphill Village Kimberton Hills Hosting Annual Hootenanny Festival on July 13th

Come and join the festivities at Camphill Kimberton ! On Saturday, July 13th they are once again hosting their beloved annual Hootenanny Festival. Enjoy local organic food as well as live music outside in their biodynamic agricultural community. Additionally, there will be Vendors, Contra Dancing, Face Painting, Hayrides and a Bubble man! You might even spot some cows and chicken at their local dairy and see where your food was grown at their very own vegetable farm. All Proceeds will go to Camphill Kimberton, a non-profit farming and handcrafting community that includes people with and without special needs. Rhythm at Reeves Featuring Patrice & The Show Coming to Reeves Park on August 25th

PATB Hosting Fundraiser April 15th at the Forge Theatre

Phoenixville Area Time Bank (PATB) has booked a special performance of the Forge Theatre production of Christopher Durang’s hilarious 2013 Tony Award-winning play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike on Sunday, April 15th. Proceeds will benefit PATB and their newest partner, Phoenixville Area Refugee Initiative (PARI). Playbill’s synopsis of the play reads as follows: Vanya and Sonia have never left the confines of their childhood home in Bucks County, PA, while their sister Masha has been gallivanting around the world as a successful actress. A surprise visit from Masha and her 20-something boy toy, Spike, throws the normally quiet household into utter upheaval as its residents and visitors get swept up in an intoxicating mixture of lust, rivalry, regret, and the sudden possibility of escape. The Pennsylvania Philharmonic Presents “American Roots"

On Friday, December 29 at 7:30 the Pennsylvania Philharmonic will present “American Roots: New Orleans, New York, Chicago, and more!” at the Phoenixville Area Middle School. The concert will celebrate original American Music: from Broadway Musicals of NYC and Jazz clubs of Chicago, to brass bands of New Orleans and soundtracks of Hollywood. With selection from Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Leonard Bernstein, John Williams (and more), there will be something for everyone to enjoy. There are multiple tiers of tickets available for this performance, including: $10 child/student, $28 general admission, $42 prime center orchestra, and $100 VIP experience with a pre-concert dinner, a chance to mingle with members of the orchestra, and the best seats in the house. "Better Together" - Church Street Block Party

The Better Together Church Street Block Party is a gathering of over 25 local non-profits and small businesses that serve the greater Phoenixville Area. Come out and learn about the wonderful local non-profits doing great things in your community, and enjoy great food, music, and activities for the whole family! The Main Event will take place in the parking lot of the Phoenixville Area Senior Center, 153 Main Street. The Phoenixville Fire Department, A Baby's Breath, and Code Blue Overnight Emergency Warming Center will have Open Houses. There will be face painting, balloons, kids' crafts, story hour, a performance by the wonderful Firebird Theatre, a DJ, and much more! Phoenixville YMCA Hosting Father's Day Family Field Day

On Sunday, June 18th (Father's Day) from 1-4pm, the Phoenixville YMCA will be hosting a Father's Day Family Field Day. This free community event will feature games, open swim and family competitions. Registration and swim testing begin at noon or you can pre-register online or in person at the Y. Some notes: No one under 12 is admitted without an adult guardian. All participants 16 and under must have a swim band issued by the Phoenixville Y. If not already completed after 4/28/2017, testing is required. A signed waiver is required at registration/check-in. Historical Society Hosting Strawberry Festival This Saturday

On Saturday, June 10th, the Historical Society of Phoenixville we be hosting a Strawberry Festival and Flea Market. From their email: Festival: Saturday, June 10, 10am-3pm Flea Market: Saturday, June 10, 8am-2pm Join us for our annual Strawberry Festival benefiting the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area! We will have a light lunch and plenty of ice cream and strawberries available as well as a bake sale, balloon sculptures for the kids by Balloon Magic, and Ted the Fiddler. There's also a flea market that opens at 8am, so shop early and stay for some delicious strawberries! Free event! The Healthy Kids Running Series - Phoenixville Area is set to return this Spring with races Sunday, April 23rd. Fall Healthy Kids Running Series Registration Open

Phoenixville Area's Healthy Kids Running Series returns this Fall with races starting Sunday, September 18th. For those who did not participate in the Spring, the Running Series is a great way to introduce your little ones to a healthy lifestyle by participating in age appropriate runs on Sunday evenings. The 7th annual Phoenixville Blues Fest comes to Reeves Park on Saturday, September 10th. The free event features ten bands, great food and activities for the entire family. WuFFJam 2016 is this Saturday

On Saturday, August 20th, St. Michaels Grove in Mont Clare will be home to WuFFJam , a fun, family day where people are encouraged to bring their dogs and kids to enjoy great music, great food and great activities while at the same time supporting two local animal rescues, Phoenix Animal Rescue and Tiny Miracles Rescue . Sugar Free Allstars Coming to Colonial in August

On Tuesday, August 4th, the Sugar Free Allstars will be playing the Colonial Theatre . Sugar Free Allstars are a Family Funk super duo from Oklahoma City. Chris “Boom!” Wiser and Rob “Dr. Rock” Martin joined forces in 2001 and quickly gained a following with a high-energy live show that has been described as a hip-shaking, head-bopping, southern-based explosion of fun for all ages. Sugar Free Allstars are among the ‘Top 12 Family Music Artists in America’ according to Time magazine. Schuylkill Canal Association Gears up for 32nd Canal Day

This Sunday, June 28th, the Schuylkill Canal Association will be hosting its 32nd Canal Day. For the last 32 years people have been gathering on the last Sunday in June to support and celebrate Schuylkill Canal Park, with Canal Day. This year the Schuylkill Canal Association has added a Beer Garden that will be serving Sly Fox beer at the St. Michael’s Pavilion. Also new this year is a Civil War Camp Reenactment with tours and stories of the great conflict. While adults will be able to enjoy a cold beer on a summer’s day, kids will remain the main focus. Fishing poles will be available for children 12 years old and under who want to participate in the Kid’s Fishing Derby between 9:30-10:00. Popular rides such as the Orbitron and the Bungee Bounce will be back again this year along with Kid’s Crafts, Games, Face Painting and Story Tellers. Revolutionary Puppets Coming to Phoenixville this Summer

Revolutionary Puppets , a new puppet company based out of Phoenixville, has three performances this summer, the first of which is this weekend. From their website: Hello Revolutionaries! We are Revolutionary Puppets, a puppet theater based in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. We offer live, fun, highly interactive shows the first Saturday of every month at St. John's Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle in Phoenixville. Every show is a different combination of short sketches, songs, and lots and lots of audience interation. Our shows have a little something for all ages, so come join the revolution Shows will be held June 6, July 4 and August 1. From bewitched broomsticks to flying horses, this iconic program taken from the original 1940 version and “Fantasia 2000,” includes Dukas’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, Respighi's Pines of Rome, Stravinsky’s Firebird, Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” Suite and much more, is performed live by The Pennsylvania Philharmonic’s 80-piece ensemble while Disney’s stunning footage is shown on a gigantic high-definition screen above the orchestra. SCA Holiday Luminaria This Saturday

On Saturday, December 13, the Schuylkill Canal Association will be hosting their annual the Holiday Luminaria from 6-9pm. Celebrate the holidays with the Schuylkill Canal Association as we invite you to join us for the Holiday Luminaria, on Saturday, December 13th, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This magnificent holiday light show will be held along the Schuylkill Canal up to Lock 60 and the Locktender’s House in Mont Clare, PA, just across the river from Phoenixville, PA. See one of the most beautiful sights of the season as you observe well over a thousand luminary candles reflecting on the canal waterway.
