Schuylkill River Heritage Center planning grand opening Sept. 28-30th


The Schuylkill River Heritage Center, located in the Foundry Building, will celebrate its grand opening with a series of events starting with a catered dinner Friday night and culminating with an Open House of the Heritage Center from 1-4pm on Sunday afternoon.

Other highlights of the weekend include a fireworks display after the dinner on Friday night and, on Saturday, a "special event for children, where they will compete to construct the best bridge out of toothpicks and marshmallows."

Friday's dinner is open to the public. Price is $60 dollars per person, and for reservations or more information, call the Heritage Center at 610-935-2181.
