First Friday plans for the rest of '07 announced

Barry Cassidy wrote in to the Phoenix to give a preview of the next several First Friday celebrations. Highlights include:

October

  • Fireman's Day which will feature fire trucks and equipment for the public to view.

  • Music by the Reluctants, Dave Fiorenza/Wayne Dowling, and Phil Covelli.

  • Barry Cassidy’s birthday celebration with birthday cake and refreshments as well as shots of mescal at the Main Street office.

November

  • Day of the Dead celebration featuring the music of Hydrogen Jukebox Band.

  • In addition to music, entertainment will be provided by sword swallowers, fire spinners, fire-eaters and other sideshow type acts.

November 30th (Note: Not a First Friday)

  • Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting
