Spiedie Bistro Opening Delayed

The Spiedie Bistro, originally slated to open on February 11th, is now hoping to hold their Grand Opening during March's First Friday.

---
Owner Brian Laing said there had been an "electrical snag" last week that created delays in construction. Laing originally planned to open the bistro on February 11. He does not know for certain when the bistro would open, though he hopes to have a grand opening on March 7 during that month’s First Friday celebrations.

"We might open one or two days before that to work some glitches out," Laing said. "But we’re shooting for First Friday."

This place is hard to find. Where is it, behind the Theater where the Domino's used to be before moving to Nutt Road? You can't even see it from Bridge Street.

mike2131, do you know there is a fountain between the Phoenix building and the pizza restaurant? well, Spiedie is going to be located close to that fountain in that alley.

An electric snag holds this place up for a month? Wow ... hope that's not an indication of how the place is gonna be. What takes these people so long. If this were China or some other country that could be quick on its feet, the place would be up and running in a couple of days.

The longer it takes the better it is, so they say. I can't wait for a spiedie.

For those who are wondering, Spiedie Bistro is located on N. Bank St, below Fashionista Salon. And as far as the "electrical snag", I heard it only pushed them back a week, but decided to have a grand opening on the March 7, First Friday.
