Rapps Dam Bridge UPDATE (as of 4/21/15)

PennDOT has awarded a contract for repair of the Rapps Dam Covered Bridge, which has been closed since April 29, 2014. The contractor has been authorized to begin purchasing materials and the construction work will begin on May 26, 2015. The contractor has been given 6 weeks to complete the project. The You Are Worth It Foundation is a grassroots homeless and in-need outreach group from Phoenixville, PA. Around Phoenixville recently asked Chris Brickhouse for some more information about the Foundation and how you can help: Tell us a little about You Are Worth It and how it got started: We are a homeless outreach organizations serving Phoenixville, Pottstown, Norristown, Center City and Kensington in Philly and constantly expanding. We were formed in early 2018 by Dina Rowan and I came on board last June. We have roughly 15 volunteers so far and would like to expand that to expand our reach. We take donated items directly to the people. We provide them with a hot meal and new or lightly used clothing and self-care products. Barry Cassidy Addresses Downtown Rumors

Today's Phoenix ran an article written by Barry Cassidy in which he addressed the various rumors that have been circulating regarding the immediate futures of several local businesses. He paints a much rosier picture than some of the comments here would have you believe. From the article: --- On Monday someone came in and told me Molly Maguire's was closing.
