Camphill Kimberton Wins 2011 Community Greening Award


The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society honored Camphill Village Kimberton Hills as a community greening champion at a recent award ceremony in Philadelphia.

The Community Greening Award recognizes individuals, garden clubs, civic associations, businesses and community groups who have created and maintained public green spaces that enhance their communities.

Judges evaluated the sites in July and August based on plant variety, design, use of space, and horticultural practices. Sixty winners were chosen from entries throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Camphill Village Kimberton Hills was honored for their sustainable gardening and land use practices.
