REMINDER: Rep. Drucker's job fair tomorrow

From Rep. Drucker's e-newsletter:
In partnership with the PA Department of Labor and Industry, I will host a "We're Hiring" Job Fair from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, March 31 at the Phoenixville Civic Center, 123 Main St. in Phoenixville. The hours have been extended to 6 p.m.

The job fair, which will coincide with March, April and May for Focus on Jobs months, will include a resume critiquing workshop.

As of today, 45 employers who are actively hiring in the following industries are confirmed to be on-hand:
  • Human Services
  • Retail/Restaurant
  • Non-Profit
  • Healthcare
  • Insurance
  • Financial Services
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Manufacturing
  • Package Delivery
  • Information Technology
  • Scientific/Pharmaceutical
  • Telecommunications
  • Government
  • Corrections
  • Medical/Nursing
  • Military

Barry Cassidy Addresses Downtown Rumors

Today's Phoenix ran an article written by Barry Cassidy in which he addressed the various rumors that have been circulating regarding the immediate futures of several local businesses. He paints a much rosier picture than some of the comments here would have you believe. From the article: --- On Monday someone came in and told me Molly Maguire's was closing.
