On Saturday, April 10th, the Phoenixville Jaycees will be hosting their 3rd Annual Date Auction.

Date to make a difference

Are you single? Then we're looking for YOU! Come join the Phoenixville Jaycees at our 3rd annual Date Auction! Let our hosts auction you off for a good cause, and hopefully a hot date.

Single, but not sure you have the balls to get up on stage? Come and place a bid on one of our auctionees.

Not single, but still ready to party? We'll have prizes and entertainment for everyone, and plenty of ways for you to make a donation to our cause, the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

You must be 21-40 years of age to apply. There is no cost to participate. Contact phoenixvillejaycees@gmail.com for more information and to request an application.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Phoenixville Relay for Life.

The auction will be held at Molly Maguire's and begins at 9pm.

Barry Cassidy Addresses Downtown Rumors

Today's Phoenix ran an article written by Barry Cassidy in which he addressed the various rumors that have been circulating regarding the immediate futures of several local businesses. He paints a much rosier picture than some of the comments here would have you believe. From the article: --- On Monday someone came in and told me Molly Maguire's was closing. I knew that was not correct because they are expanding, not closing. Then about 20 minutes after than I heard from someone else that 101 was closing and the building was going to become a McDonalds.
