Jonathan Looper Antiques closed his doors on Main Street ....oh....probably 1 1/2 years ago already. Where do these nominations come from?

thanks for the head's up. I think they just have a huge directory of businesses, all of which are eligible for an award. Guess they don't keep it up to date. I am to blame as well as I basically just copied last year's blog post, checked that the links were still active, and posted it for this year. Its been removed and I have added Salon Fiber in its place. If anyone notices any others that have closed, or one's that need to be added, please post it here in the comments.

Thanks

You may want to add Artisans Gallery and Cafe to the contender list for Best Coffee Shop. They have been part of the downtown for--I think--2 years, right?
I don't think they have a website, but you don't need one to qualify for the Hot List.

I have no control over who is on Fox's nominee list. If/when they are added I'll be sure to link to them.

When you vote for a business, there is an option in each category to add a business, I believe. Also, I do think Artisan's has a website up and running now (no, I don't work there) but it is by far my favorite coffee shop. Best mood, best drinks, best staff.

If you do a search for Phoenixville on the Hot List's site, you will find *5* pages of local businesses that are up for votes. Good luck PHX businesses!

Public meeting to discuss future of Melchiorre Park scheduled for Nov. 29th

On Thursday, November 29th, the Borough is holding a 'brainstorming session' in which plans for Melchiorre Park will be discussed with its park planning consultants. The event will be held at the High School and will begin 7pm. For those of you who do not know about Melchiorre Park (of which I am included, even though I apparently live across the street from it), it is a 23 acre park located south of High Street on the land between it and French Creek. It appears, based on the drawing on the Borough home page , to be the land that is next to Westridge Village and across the street from the new Northridge Village community. As part of the meeting, the consultants will 'provide a brief background of the project and present a pre-final master plan for the park'. Source: Phoenixville Borough Website
