"Wines from Spain" Wine Tasting at The Fenix this Thursday

On Thursday, June 25th, the Fenix will be hosting "Wines from Spain", hosted by Hudson Austin from Wine Merchant, Inc. The tasting starts at 7pm and features five Spanish wines and a selection of Tapas from The Fenix menu. Cost is $20 per person.

This was a lot of fun! I hope the Fenix does it again. My only gripe would be that the wine expert spends a little more time explaining the wines.

It was a little different than other wine tastings I have attended, much more casual. Great event, great atomosphere, great selection of tapas. I would do it again in a minute. Unbelievable low price. And, do you know they rent the place out for events?

Great selection of wines, very informative host. Only two tappas though with so much wine was not enough. Still, great experience and value.

Over the next couple of months, three local businesses will be closing their doors. On Saturday, February 16th, Polka Dots will be closing their store at 246 Bridge Street. The shop, a women's clothing boutique, opened nearly two and a half years ago but has recently found business slow. --- Originally, (owner Susan) Randels said that the store was doing well, but that the momentum could not keep up. Local Non-Profit Spotlight: You Are Worth It Foundation

The You Are Worth It Foundation is a grassroots homeless and in-need outreach group from Phoenixville, PA. Around Phoenixville recently asked Chris Brickhouse for some more information about the Foundation and how you can help: Tell us a little about You Are Worth It and how it got started: We are a homeless outreach organizations serving Phoenixville, Pottstown, Norristown, Center City and Kensington in Philly and constantly expanding. We were formed in early 2018 by Dina Rowan and I came on board last June. We have roughly 15 volunteers so far and would like to expand that to expand our reach. We take donated items directly to the people. We provide them with a hot meal and new or lightly used clothing and self-care products.
