Iron Town Productions and Molly Maguires present the 2nd Annual Blob Ball

Steel City Coffee House will once again be presenting a Blob Ball, held immediately following the running out reenactment at the Colonial Theatre. The ball is on July 10th and starts at 9pm.
Join us at Molly Maguires for the 2nd Annual Blob Ball, featuring the Rivers Rockabilly Trio. This event is the kick off party to the popular BlobFest Weekend at the Colonial Theatre. Dress up in your 50's best, join the running out reenactment at the Colonial Theatre and then run on over to Molly Maguires 3rd floor for an unforgetable 50's style party. Prizes will be awarded for best 50's outfit (male and female), best scary movie costume, best celebrity impersonator, and best dancers. Molly's will provide a thematic menu of delicious drinks. So put on your poodle skirts and saddle shoes (ladies) and get out your bowling shirt and penny loafers (gentleman)and celebrate all things 1950's with us.

Several Local Businesses Closing Up Shop

Over the next couple of months, three local businesses will be closing their doors. On Saturday, February 16th, Polka Dots will be closing their store at 246 Bridge Street. The shop, a women's clothing boutique, opened nearly two and a half years ago but has recently found business slow. --- Originally, (owner Susan) Randels said that the store was doing well, but that the momentum could not keep up. Local Non-Profit Spotlight: You Are Worth It Foundation

The You Are Worth It Foundation is a grassroots homeless and in-need outreach group from Phoenixville, PA. Around Phoenixville recently asked Chris Brickhouse for some more information about the Foundation and how you can help: Tell us a little about You Are Worth It and how it got started: We are a homeless outreach organizations serving Phoenixville, Pottstown, Norristown, Center City and Kensington in Philly and constantly expanding. We were formed in early 2018 by Dina Rowan and I came on board last June. We have roughly 15 volunteers so far and would like to expand that to expand our reach. We take donated items directly to the people. We provide them with a hot meal and new or lightly used clothing and self-care products. We have long term goals of a mobile shower center, vocational training and assisting with housing in any way possible. What kind of items do you need?
