Pothouse Road to Close in Schuylkill Township for Road Widening and Sewer Installation

Pothouse Road is scheduled to close between Meadowbrook Lane and Route 29 (State Road) in Schuylkill Township, Chester County, starting Friday, April 15, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for road widening and sewer installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced. The closure will be in effect Mondays through Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM through Monday, May 16.

During construction, Pothouse Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 29 (State Road/Main Street), Route 23 (Nutt Road) and Bridge Street. Truck traffic will be detoured over Route 29 (State Road/Main Street), Route 23 (Nutt Road) and Route 113 (Kimberton Road). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. The construction schedule is contingent on the weather.

The Phoenixville Area School District will perform the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
