Banff Mountain Film Festival Returns March 6 and 7

Once again, the Banff Mountain Film Festival will be making a stop at the Colonial Theatre as part of its World Tour. The festival, which features short films highlighting biking, kayaking, skiing, rock climbing and mountain cultures, will be held on Friday, March 6th and Saturday March 7th, 2009.

This year's festival is being hosted by the Philadelphia Rock Gym. For more information, including how to buy tickets, please see the site they have setup for the event at www.philarockgym.com/Banff2009.htm.

A portion of the proceeds from this year's event will go to benefit the Schuylkill Canal Association.

101 Bridge to Open Tomorrow

Received a phone call from my sister (who happens to be moving into Phoenixville on Saturday) who said there is a sign in front of the new 101 Bridge Restaurant saying that it will be opening tomorrow(6/25). It appears they are having a private opening tonight. If anyone here attended tonight or plans to attend over the next couple of days, please write in with your thoughts on Phoenixville's newest restaurant.
