Welcome to Bridge and Main

As a recent addition to Phoenixville, I have spent the better part of seven months trying to find out what is going on in and around the downtown area of Phoenixville. Unfortunately, the information available is hard to come by at best. That is why I have started this blog.

My hope is to provide a place where past, current, and future residents of Phoenixville can get information about stores, restaurants, and other businesses that are either setting up or closing down shop. You will also find information about events like First Friday, the summer concert series, and the Friday night concerts taking place on Bridge Street.

I really have no idea where this will end up but I think it could be a pretty useful site for those of us who are excited about the changes that are happening around town and would like to have a single place to go for information.

Local Non-Profit Spotlight: You Are Worth It Foundation

The You Are Worth It Foundation is a grassroots homeless and in-need outreach group from Phoenixville, PA. Around Phoenixville recently asked Chris Brickhouse for some more information about the Foundation and how you can help: Tell us a little about You Are Worth It and how it got started: We are a homeless outreach organizations serving Phoenixville, Pottstown, Norristown, Center City and Kensington in Philly and constantly expanding. We were formed in early 2018 by Dina Rowan and I came on board last June. We have roughly 15 volunteers so far and would like to expand that to expand our reach. We take donated items directly to the people. We provide them with a hot meal and new or lightly used clothing and self-care products. Kiwanis Holiday Parade To Be Held During December First Friday

The 2009 Kiwanis Holiday Parade will be held during December's First Friday, December 4th. The parade begins at 7pm at the intersection of Bridge and Starr Streets, ending at the Family Dollar. Santa's arrival will be led by marching bands, decorated fire trucks, floats and some of Santa's favorite characters.

Tyler James Closed?

My reporter on the street Jen tells me of a rumor that Tyler James has closed its doors as of yesterday. Can anyone confirm?
