Yoga Teacher Training Open House Being Held January 22nd

On Sunday, January 22nd, the Living Mandala School of Yoga will be holding an open house from 12:30-1:30pm for those interested in becoming Yoga teachers:
Beginning in February of 2012, Ocean, Earth, Wind, and Fire will be hosting a 200-Hour yoga teacher training. If you have ever thought of becoming a yoga teacher or want to deepen your practice, the FREE Open House will cover:
  • The unique program philosophy and curriculum overview
  • Program dates and make-up options
  • Required readings and book list
  • Tuition costs and options
  • Program outcomes (registration with Yoga Alliance, teaching options, etc.)

The open house is free and open to the public and will be held at Ocean, Earth, Wind, and Fire, 122 Bridge Street.

Several Local Businesses Closing Up Shop

Over the next couple of months, three local businesses will be closing their doors. On Saturday, February 16th, Polka Dots will be closing their store at 246 Bridge Street. The shop, a women's clothing boutique, opened nearly two and a half years ago but has recently found business slow. --- Originally, (owner Susan) Randels said that the store was doing well, but that the momentum could not keep up. "The things that sold in Paoli didn't sell in Phoenixville," she said, adding that some customers thought that the store was too expensive or the sizing did not go high enough (size 12 being the highest size sold). Local Business Spotlight: The Fenix

As mentioned a couple of months back , Phoenixville will soon be home to a premium martini and whiskey bar. Named The Fenix, it is owned by the owners of Molly Maguire's and will be located right next door to Molly's at 193 Bridge Stret. The Fenix hopes to have a soft opening tonight or tomorrow with a grand opening coming in September.
