Pepperoncini's Introduces Italian Wine Dinner Series

Beginning Tuesday, March 13th Pepperoncini Phoenixville (184 Bridge Street, Phoenixville; 484-924-8429) will host a series of Italian Wine dinners on the second Tuesday of each month. Each wine dinner will focus on a different region of Italy and will be hosted by David Greenstein from The Wine Merchant. Wines will be paired with Chef Paul DiBona's classic Italian 5-course menu. Tuesday, March 13th will feature Italy's Tuscan region with premium Brunello and Tuscan wines. The cost is $68 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Call 484-924-8429 for reservations. Camphill Kimberton Presents Daria in Concert - A World Music Performance for the Special Needs Community

Daria , an internationally-known folksinger, will present a concert at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills on Saturday, March 10 at 4 p.m. Children and adults with special needs and their families are specially invited to be a part of this performance where Daria shares a wonderful mixture of favorite songs from American and world folk music traditions. She introduces unique authentic instruments and allows the audience to take part in the performance. For the last two decades, internationally- known folksinger Daria has traveled the globe, learning, sharing and making music while building communities and encouraging a new view of hope and peace for all the world’s children. 5th Annual PACS Murder Mystery Event to be held March 16th

On Friday, March 16th, Phoenixville Area Community Services will be hosting their 5th Annual Murder Mystery Event. This year's event will be held form 6-10pm at RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve . What could be more fun than kicking off your St. Patrick's Day weekend with an evening of laughter, drama and mystery? Sharpen your detective skills by investigating the murder - Irish style! Actors from Phoenixville's own Forge Theatre will present "Murder Me . . . I'm Irish." As the plot unfolds, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and sift through clues with your table mates to review suspects and motives for committing the crime. The first to crack the case wins a prize! PAHS’s Operation FOCUS Receives Grant from PCEF

PCEF Board Member Kelly Connors presents a check sized for a superhero to Phoenixville Area High School’s Operation FOCUS’s Debbie McGinn. Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (PCEF) Board Members Kelly Connors and Sharon Bauer stopped by a meeting at Phoenixville Area High School last night armed with a giant check. On behalf of PCEF, they awarded a $3,000 grant to Operation FOCUS ( F or O ur C hildren’s U ncompromised S afety) in support of the PAHS post-prom party being held for the 12th year. The mission of Operation FOCUS is to provide a safe alternative to other parties where drugs and alcohol may be present, parties that may be unsupervised, or situations that can lead to destructive decisions.

Camphill Village Kimberton Hills hosts Ursinus Faculty Exhibition

A gallery opening featuring art by Ursinus College faculty will be held Monday, February 20 from 6-8 p.m. in the Wellspring Gallery at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills . This group exhibition at the Wellspring gallery at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills consists of work by the Ursinus College Fine Arts faculty, including Robert Waddington, Sarah Kaufman, Roger Chavez, Jackie Brown, and Pedro Barbeito. The works on display represent the variety of media, approaches and conceptual frameworks that this exceptional faculty brings to the learning experience at Ursinus. The exhibition also attests to the College’s ongoing engagement and dialogue with the local community. The exhibition will run from Februrary 20 until April 9, 2012.
